Assisting the Government of Armenia in reforming the vocational education in agriculture leading to stronger economic development in rural areas and critical job creation

Izmirlian Foundation and Vanand Agro CJSC will jointly support the Project “Modernizing VET in Agriculture in Armenia” lead by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in partnership with the Austrian Development Agency, German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Swiss Church Aid (HEKS/EPER), Strategic Development Agency (SDA), and Government of Armenia. This Project is aimed at assisting the Government of Armenia in reforming the vocational education in agriculture leading to stronger economic development in rural areas and critical job creation.

 The Project will also improve knowledge and skills of beneficiaries and contribute to sustainable, climate friendly, and inclusive growth, as well as increasing incomes and employment of graduates in agricultural and related fields.

The primary beneficiaries are the rural inhabitants of Armenia engaged in agriculture, in particular young male and female persons interested in farming and related professions.

 The Project Implementation partners are Swiss Church Aid (HEKS/EPER), Strategic Development Agency (SDA), School of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences, Berne University of Applied Sciences (HAFL), German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ).
