“Guyqadaran” Special Equipment Library
Children with special needs have limited access to equipment and devices necessary to ensure their uninterrupted rehabilitation therapies at home. While regular therapeutic care is a prerequisite for the wellbeing of children with special needs, the means to ensure the processes become inaccessible after being discharged from rehabilitation centers.
The Izmirlian Foundation has launched the Project on “Guyqadaran” Special Equipment Library by Source Foundation, aiming to enhance the quality of life for children with developmental disorders and disabilities by facilitating their access to therapeutic equipment and positioning devices necessary to ensure their uninterrupted rehabilitation therapies at home.
The goal of the project is to improve the quality of life for children with disabilities and their families through enhanced access to therapeutic equipment and positioning devices.
The Project Specific objectives are:
Objective 1: Enhanced access to therapeutic equipment and positioning devices for children with disabilities.
Objective 2: Enhanced skills among parents having children with disabilities in the use of therapeutic equipment and practices.
The Project direct beneficiaries are 220 children with disabilities benefiting from the repository on an annual basis. Project indirect beneficiaries are family members of children with disabilities.
The project will be implemented by “Source” Foundation for supporting children with disabilities and their families.
